This legendary town on Route Nationale 7 is famous for its nougat and is considered the undisputed capital of this sweet. Stroll through this town steeped in history and marvel at the scenery from the castle. Let your palate be spoiled by the Occitan cuisine here as well.
Likewise, discover the beautiful hiking trails and visit the stalactite caves in the nearby national parks. Especially Vallon-Pont-d'Arc is worth a visit. The Ardèche River has carved a dramatic gorge through a limestone plateau, leaving behind wonderful rock formations.
