A hidden gem awaits you at this wilderness off-grid riverside retreat in the scenic countryside of Quebec. Get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the peaceful quiet tranquility of a cozy cabin. Here you will be immersed in nature where you can catch a glimpse of the white-tailed dear or the clever beaver. One can truly get back to the basics because the cabin is outside Wi-Fi and cell reception. To get reception it will require a 12 minute drive to the nearest town :)
There is NO cell reception or Wi-Fi at the cabin and in the town where the cabin is located.
To receive cell reception you must drive to the nearest town of Lac aux sables an approximate 12 minute drive from the cabin.
The space is equipped with a charming woodstove perfect for cozy nights. The cabin is a DRY cabin. The cabin has NO running water but the drain in the sink still works therefore guests can still do dishes, etc
We ask that guests warm a pot of water on the woodstove to have hot water for doing dishes to make sure they are shiny for the next guests!
****Please bring enough drinking water, water for dishes and water for everything else for your stay :)****
In the winter, snow can be shoveled into a pot and heated on the stove to have water to be used as needed.
In the summer, water can be taken from the river in a barrel to be used as needed.
The cabin has basic solar powered electricity powering lights, and the ability to charge basic devices. Phones, headlamps ect
The toilet is a natures head composting toilet. There is a 3 burner stove that runs on propane and cooking essentials, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, kettle are provided. There is no fridge, but there is a small cooler.
