The place is located in a side valley of the Föritz. West of Neuhaus-Schierschnitz rises the 406 meter high Schottenberg, east is the 465 meter high Wirtemberg, on the runs the Thuringian-Bavarian border. Neuhaus is on the east side of the valley, Schierschnitz on the west side. The farm was built around 1820 and lovingly restored from 2010 to 2015.
