Summary: I love the history of this place. It’s quaint and very basic. Others have mentioned they had a hard time sleeping because of road noise. That was not my experience at all. I slept great both nights I was there. My husband and I stayed there because we were visiting Crater Lake. I can’t emphasize enough that this is a very basic, no nonsense place. I felt safe and secure in my room and in the area. It was nice to step out of our room onto the balcony that goes all the way around the building. A good place to chill and read. The porch is a common area, so if there is someone in the room next to you , you will meet them on the porch.
We ate at at Jen’s Coffee across the street. Great hearty breakfast, huge portions and nice, friendly owners. Plenty of donuts available too for a quick cup and donut to go.
My only real complaint was that our room, the Rose Room had a jacuzzi style tub and the jets didn’t work. The manager said it needed to be serviced. I specifically picked this room because of the tub/jacuzzi and was disappointed that it didn’t work. In spite of that it’s a huge tub and very comfortable to have a bath in.
While we were there it appeared that upgrades were being made to the building and some of the issues that others reported appeared to have been resolved.
Basic coffee available in the lobby starting at 6am. It’s a 35 or 40 minute drive to Crater Lake from Chemult.

Summary: The room was very basic. Not a lot of room. Linen and towels were clean, but the room itself needed a good cleaning and some TLC. The room we had was next to the road and there cars and trucks that went by all night.

Summary: Don't waste your time here. Very overpriced for a small room with cobwebs in the corners and dead bugs on the walls. No amenities. You won't get any sleep since it's on a main trunkline and very noisy. Not a real good area. Very disappointed - should have slept in my car that night.

Summary: I thought room has mini-kitchen...no. Micro.frig - yes. Shower did not work, no coffee maker, clock, chairs...pretty much nothing. Only good thing is location to Crater Lake, cheaper than outrageous price in this area.

Summary: Old hotel between the highway and the railroad. Not good beds but ok. Not quiet but ok when you are tired. Staff very nice, so good enough stop for a night. Accept dogs. A little market and Gas stations around to buy deli and groceries. Very good Mexican restaurant.

Summary: Was very outdated, floors squeaked and walls were thin. I was on the second floor but the stairs were very narrow and half way up there was a room's door at the landing so if the person inside open the door youd be hit. Our room was a two bed and it had separate rooms but the rooms were tiny and cramped. Balcony was assessable to all rooms so door was locked but still didnt feel safe. The area is very small with only a few businesses. Just passing through for a night was ok but couldnt have stayed any longer.
