The Thuringian Rhön is in the north-east of the Rhön biosphere reserve, which also comprises part of Hessen and Bavaria. Your holiday home is very centrally located about halfway between Fulda and Eisenach and is therefore an ideal starting point for trips. Many discoveries await you in this unique cultural and natural landscape. Those interested in culture will be drawn towards the well-preserved timber-framed little towns or the typical features of the Rhön. The Rhön biosphere reserve, Wartburg, the Meininger Theatre, known well beyond the regional borders, Schmalkalden with its timber-framed houses, Fulda the cathedral town, the Merkers mine with its crystal grotto etc. await you. A 60-km extensive hiking path network and many cycle paths start right by the house, such as the Feldtal cycle path along the idyllic little river Felda.
