At the bamboo garden, you can board the small Cevennes steam train that connects Anduze with Saint-Jean-du-Gard and treats you to beautiful views as it travels through the Gard Valley. You will pass through tunnels and cross viaducts, feeling what it was like to travel by train in the past. In the very nearby Grotte de Trabuc, the largest cave in the Cevennes, waterfalls, water holes and the emerald green lake Lac de Minuit await you on a 1,200 m long tour. Adventurous vacationers should definitely join an underground safari here: A 3- or 5-hour journey to the center of the earth that does not require technical knowledge or any particular athletic ability.
